Brave fundraiser gears up for gruelling challenge in aid of Southampton cardiac charity
A brave fundraiser has begun an intensive training programme as he gets ready to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats – and take on the Three Peaks Challenge in between. Adam Blackwell will be taking on the gruelling challenge in April 2026 with the aim of raising £10,000 in aid of Southampton cardiac charity Heartbeat. Heartbeat golf tournaments raise more than £21,000
Golf tournaments teed off at two of Hampshire’s most popular clubs have raised more than £21,000 for a Southampton cardiac charity. Heartbeat’s recent fundraising days held at South Winchester and Corhampton Golf Clubs raised a grand total of £21,250 – funds which will go towards supporting cardiac patients and their families across the Wessex region and beyond. Heartbeat hosts activity weekend for young cardiac patients
Twelve young cardiac patients have spent a weekend embracing the great outdoors at Ferny Croft Scout Activity Centre in Lyndhurst. As part of Southampton cardiac charity Heartbeat’s youth provision, the group of young people living with congenital heart disease enjoyed some leisure time in the New Forest, with outdoor activities such as crate stacking, archery and evenings around the campfire.
