“When Wessex Heartbeat asked me to write an article to explain what a 'Day in the Life' meant to me, I did not have to think too hard about what I wanted to say. I guess one of the main things I love about my job, is my days are extremely varied, so I can honestly say, no two days are the same, except I suppose, the amount of tea I drink to get through them. I'm lucky enough to travel around a lot with my work and I get to meet lots of individuals from diverse backgrounds when I'm filming. This usually means I am waking up in a new city or town so I do try and get some time for sightseeing in between. However, if I am not filming, my day starts around 7.30am and I write a list of tasks to complete. The morning is spent tackling business admin, i.e. invoices, receipts and insurances, you know, the boring stuff, so I can have a clear mind for when I start to edit. During lockdown I built a studio cabin where I can carry out a complete day of editing, hopefully uninterrupted. Of course, I still have to answer phone calls and texts from my clients during this time, so editing normally goes on late into the night. Luckily there is always enough tea and I made sure the studio is well insulated, so all in all, it makes for a cosy, motivating atmosphere. As I have said before, most days I finish work quite late but some days I do get the chance to finish early. This is when I grab the opportunity for a bit of 'me' time. I like to do some sport, tackle some DIY or do some cooking. Looking back throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with some incredible people, far too many to name of course. However, as I write this, I would like to say a special thank you to Wessex Heartbeat for recently inviting my team and I to come and video an overview of their charity. This afforded me being able to learn more about their amazing work and what an enormous impact it has on the lives of so many! At Bonjorfilm, we are passionate about promoting important causes which is refelected in our motto 'media production for reel people'. To sum up, I am truly blessed and very grateful to work with like-minded people at Bonjorfilm and the many opportunities I have been presented with in the past, now and I'm sure in the future.” Jordan Le Bon
