Heartfelt Thank yous to our Community

Updated: Jul 3

With Heartbeat thriving in 2024, we couldn't achieve the extraordinary things we do without the continued support of our wide-net community in the Wessex region and beyond.

We would like to say a massive thank you to the following, apologises if we have missed anyone:

Massive thank you to Steve Read from Isle of Wight Defibrillators who has been helping Tanya grow the Heartbeat awareness on the island. Steve is working closely with Tanya on growing the presence and awareness of the charity, but also helping with community fundraising events. Well done Steve on your continued support and look forward to this flourishing partnership.

Thank you to Goadsby Estate agents who continue to support Heartbeat by recently raising funds at their charity events in March 2024 from their Quiz Night entry fee, and staff purchasing additional holiday days. This has raised a remarkable £2,310.58!

Ladies Circle Bridport have jumped onboard this year by organising their "New to You" Sale event back in April. With many people in attendance, they raised a fabulous £143.75 for Heartbeat. Thank you so much ladies.

A massive thank you to our community supermarket champions, who have been helping support Heartbeat with not only raffle prizes so far this year, but also with donations towards the Youth Activity Days that our Cardiac Youth Worker has been organising.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sam and the team at Aamnah's Indian Kitchen West Totton for their continued donation of vouchers to all our Totton-based raffles. A special thank you also goes to Aidan Miller Powell, who has been generously donating two free "3 x 30-minute Guitar lessons" vouchers to all our community raffles since April. We are grateful to Southampton Korfball for their generosity in supporting Heartbeats community raffles with two free "1 month trial" vouchers for community events. Another massive thank you goes to Chris and the team at The Attic Southampton for their generous donation of four free tickets to the comedy night shows. Your contributions make a significant impact on our community, and we deeply appreciate your support.

Also a lovely thank you to cardiac patient, Joanna Fitzgerald-Gradwell, who recently took on to walk 100 miles in May. With the support and motivation from family and friends, Joanna completed the walk with a smile on her face and raising a lovely £2,418.75!!

Ride London was another successful event for us which we had 4 incredible and inspirational people ride for Heartbeat. Barbara Klammer, Richard Reed, Geoffrey Estall and Tom Pierce took on this challenge riding 100 miles around london and Essex in aid of Heartbeat and all together raised a whopping £3,245!
