Just 2 months after a horrible accident Pauline bravely turned her trauma into inspiration, by committing to raising money for Wessex Heartbeat. With her awe inspiring video, documenting a small portion of the trip; Pauline hopes to be that beacon of light for those suffering in the dark.
"Following Pauline's cycling accident on 10 June 2018, to overcome the trauma and post concussion symptoms she was still suffering, Pauline challenged herself to climb Scafell Pike on Monday 13 August 2018 and to raise funds for Wessex Heartbeat, a charity close to our hearts. Thanks to Paul, Christopher and all who generously donated to support this cause and to make it a reality, we raised £305." - Paul Lympany
With the support of her family, Pauline set out to climb Scafell Pike; she used the challenge and motivation of fundraising for one of her favourite charities, to help her return to normality and help her get through the struggles that she faced.
"I was not in best of states during the climb but with support from my husband, son Christopher and others walking that day kept me going. The video doesn’t show my tears and moments of giving up due to my head pain which I was having still after my accident. I am still even today having issues and had to give up my job until I can cope with work again. I hope if people see the video I hope it will encourage people not to give up even when you are at your lowest in life as things could be alot different. Challenging myself helped me get through some dark feelings." - Pauline Lympany
