Tina 2 visited The Rotary Club of Fareham to present to President Norman Chapman with their certificate and special pledge pins for pledging to raise funds each year for 3 years. The total paid was £1500 that will support Heartbeat House.
However, the club have decided to continue raising funds and Heartbeat will benefit from their Quiz to be held on the 24th of Feb at Catisfield Memorial Hall, and funds from that will go towards the 3D heart project devised to assist both clinicians and patients to give the best outcome for young congenital heart patients.
Depending on the amount raised it may also benefit the funding of our Cardiac Youth Worker Becky, who gives psychological support to those aged 11-25 years.
Tina said, we are truly overwhelmed by the generosity of the Rotary clubs in District 1110. This has been acknowledged by the re-naming of the house “Rotary Heartbeat House”.
"As a fellow member, I know how important the work of Rotary is to so many good causes, and we are forever grateful for the continuous support and Rotary Club of Fareham has gone above and beyond."
Any Rotary clubs that would be interested in Tina 2 coming to speak to them about our Rotary pledge scheme and to hear more about our wonderful charity, please get in touch.
