Our very own team of Cardiac Crawlers took on the Serpentine in London on Saturday 22nd September. The team of seven all from the Southampton area, include a specialist cardiac nurse and people whose family members have undergone cardiac surgery.
Cardiac Nurse Specialist and longtime supporter of the charity, Lynda Tellett lead her team from across the ocean, as whilst the rest of the team geared up for the challenge in London; she would be simultaneously swimming two miles in the Mediterranean Sea.
The ladies did fantastically well to complete this challenge and raise funds for Wessex Heartbeat, raising £916 all together; a wonderful amount that only adds on to the efforts that they have made over the years.
