Southampton cardiac charity Heartbeat has raised £2,850 at this year’s popular quiz night, beating its own fundraising record.
The Beat the Heat quiz night was held on 20th February at The Concorde Club, Eastleigh, and saw teams of six pitted their wits against each other, testing their general knowledge to the maximum all while raising much-needed funds for the charity.
Winning team “A Quiz Team” from Paris Smith taking home the coveted trophy, and there were plenty of superb prizes up for grabs in the raffle. Tina Richardson, Head of Operations at Heartbeat, commented: “The stakes were high for this year’s quiz, as we had such a great night in 2024 and everyone gave so generously.
“I’m delighted that we managed to break our own record with this year’s donations, and we’re all looking forward to the next two events.”
Beat the Heat Isle of Wight is on 6th March at the Ryde Castle Hotel and there’s still time to
