Last Easter our son who was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries and other complications underwent surgery as an adult at Southampton for the first time. During his stay in hospital I stayed at the wonderful Heartbeat House which was a godsend especially when my son was having a bad day. I promised at the time to do some fund raising for the wonderful service you provide. So on Valentines day 2019 I held open house serving tea and cake in vintage style. I also ran a small book stall and a raffle. We raised a sum of £300 altogether and everyone was interested to see the work that your charity carries out. I will now be working on a project for next year.
