Volunteer
THERE IS NO BETTER WAY TO HELP OTHERS THAN BY VOLUNTEERING FOR HEARTBEAT
Volunteering for Heartbeat will not only equip you with excellent life skills and experience but also allows you to make the difference for a cause that's close to your heart. We always ensure that our volunteers get just as much out of the experience as we do, so whether you are helping at one of our events or lending your hand to our Heartbeat House staff; you will walk away with a smile.

What is Volunteering:
-
A great way to give back to the community and to a good cause.
-
Gain a sense of purpose.
-
Make new friends.
-
Learn new skills and pass on existing.
No matter what time you can give, whether it be a few hours, few days, a month or longer, there is no limit. It truly is most appreciated.

Why Volunteer For Heartbeat:
Heartbeat works alongside the Cardiac Unit at Southampton General Hospital where all aspects of heart care are covered. Such a vital organ requires special dedicated people to provide the support. No matter what your position is, we all make a difference. The rewards are immense and Volunteers help provide the backup skills to alleviate the pressures on the Heartbeat Team.
Any expenses incurred whilst volunteering for Heartbeat are covered.

How Can you Make A Difference:
Here’s some of the ways you could help
You like meeting people
-
Why not back us up at our events – helping get things ready; selling raffle tickets or just doing what needs to done when the rush is on.
-
Representing the charity by meeting people in public and spreading our message.
-
Alternatively we have stalls to be manned throughout the year
You like to drive and know your way around
-
So often we have leaflets/banners/collecting tins to deliver and retrieve or even man. We’ll pay your petrol expenses if you can spare the time.
You’re good at presentations
-
Getting Heartbeat’s message out to community groups and organisations is so important to bringing new supporters on board and telling people about what the Charity does and achieves. If your expertise lies in this area we’d love to talk to you.
